Zatu launches distribution division with debut titles including Kelp, Kinfire and A Gentle Rain

UK board game retailer Zatu has launched a dedicated distribution division.

Zatu has already secured exclusive UK distribution rights to the tense, asymmetrical showdown Kelp, fantasy series Kinfire and the serene A Gentle Rain.

Proving its new model, Zatu Distribution provided ten titles to Waterstones during the UK Games Expo weekend, and saw seven of them sell out.

The new arm is backed by three warehouses and a team of industry experts — including Rory Kelly and Rob Trounce, who were instrumental in growing Hachette Boardgames UK, and Broma Patel, formerly of Coiledspring Games.

“We don’t just ship games – we champion them,” said Rob Trounce, Trade Marketing Manager at Zatu.

“Because we’ve spent nearly a decade helping gamers discover the right titles, we know what works. Zatu Distribution is about giving retailers the confidence to stock future hits, and giving publishers the platform to succeed in the UK.
