Board Game Club’s Play Creators special lands with a bang

On Tuesday September 2nd, Board Game Club hosted its first ever Play Creators Special, in partnership with Mojo Nation.

Designed to celebrate the most innovative board games to launch this year, the event proved extremely popular, attracting the highest number of sign-ups and attendees so far this year.

The menu was curated by Mojo Nation, and contained a diverse selection of winners and nominees from this year’s Play Creators Awards, including The Op’s Flip 7, Golden Bear’s Birdy Call, Big Potato’s Whirly Derby and Wacky Wizard’s Caution Signs, amongst many others.

“Our Play Creators Special was a huge success,” said Lesley Singleton, Founder of Playtime PR and Co-Founder of Board Game Club.

“The room was buzzing and full of happy, smiling people having a good time playing board games, which is at the heart of what Board Game Club is all about. We had a strong menu on offer, full of fresh tabletop treats, and it was wonderful to see such a broad mix of guests enjoying them. Board Game Club regulars, first timers, toy industry faces and of course, members of the games inventor community, all came together to make the event a really special evening.”

Billy Langsworthy, Co-Founder of Mojo Nation, added: “It was fantastic to spend an evening celebrating the finalists and winners of this year.

“It was a brilliant way to build on our awards night back in June, and was really good fun to bring the games to an audience of people who are looking to find their new board game favourite.”
