MinaLima readies Harry Potter board game, Defenders of Hogwarts

The award-winning design studio MinaLima is launching a new Harry Potter board game called Defenders of Hogwarts.

Defenders of Hogwarts is MinaLima’s first foray into board games sees players hone their spell-casting skills, explore the grounds, and prepare the castle for battle.

The game will be available to buy online and at selected retailers, at House of MinaLima locations and Harry Potter Shops from Autumn 2026. A global release in multiple languages is planned for Spring 2027.

The co-founders of MinaLima – Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima – have history with the franchise having created the graphic universe of the films. They also designed props such as Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Acceptance Letter, The Marauder’s Map and The Daily Prophet newspapers.

“With Defenders of Hogwarts, we saw the potential to create a truly unique wizarding experience for fans,” said Eduardo Lima, co-founder of Studio MinaLima.

“From the game mechanics and the world-building to the artwork and illustrations, every detail has been considered to capture the magic of the original films. We cannot wait for witches and wizards everywhere to create a whole new adventure in the world that they call home.”
