Reading’s independent game retailer Eclectic Games to move premises
The multi-award-winning family business Eclectic Games is to change premises this summer. After a decade in Union Street in the bustling UK town of Reading, the 19-year-old business plans to move to a bigger, more flexible space.
Located less than half a mile away, the new unit at 21 Duke Street promises four dedicated, air-conditioned games rooms and a gaming lounge in the basement. Meanwhile, the ground-floor retail space will continue to provide an exceptional range of games to suit every taste.
Said owner Becky Ottery: “We’ve loved our time in Union Street, which has seen us through Brexit, the pandemic and various other personal challenges and difficulties… At the time we moved in, it was a significant improvement from our previous location – and we could hardly have been more ‘town center’.
Becky continued: “We now need a more flexible space to better support the increased number of customers and communities that are the biggest driver of our ongoing success.”
Having recently signed the long-term lease for the ground-floor and basement of the new premises, Eclectic Games is set to open in it’s new home this summer.
