Rhode Island School of Design invites industry to its annual Board and Card Game Design Showcase
The Rhode Island School of Design is inviting those in the industry to connect with students at their annual Board and Card Game Design Showcase.
Students on the Making Play: Games course – taught by John C Gonzalez and offered through the Illustration Department – are tasked with looking at play not only as entertainment, but as a method of learning, experimentation and cultural expression.
Throughout the semester, students complete a series of collaborative and independent exercises that culminate in pitch-ready board game prototypes. These prototypes are presented at the annual Board and Card Game Design Showcase.
This year’s event takes place at Rhode Island School of Design on Thursday, December 11th at 6PM. The event will welcome game designers, publishers and academics from the area to RISD’s campus in Providence to engage in conversations and foster connections.
If you’d like to attend the event, please RSVP to [email protected].
