With gamers flocking to Essen next week, Spiel MD Carol Rapp shares what makes a successful show.

“We are overwhelmed by the rush to our show,” said Carol Rapp, Managing Director of Spiel owner Merz Verlag.

The move marks the first time in the board game show’s 40-year history that it has a mascot.

Alongside Dominique Metzler and Florian Hess, Carol will assume joint responsibility for the organisation and ongoing development of the Essen-based Spiel show.

“We are about to create something new and unique for our industry,” said All About Games’ Daniel Steel.
