A Game Studio launches Proof-of-Play model to help ‘exceptional games reach the market faster’

A Game Studio has detailed Proof-of-Play – a new publishing initiative designed to help ‘exceptional tabletop games reach the market faster’.
The Proof-of-Play model introduces carefully selected games through premium limited-edition releases. These editions are offered directly to consumers and specialty retailers through channels such as Faire – allowing each title to ‘generate real-world sales, player feedback and retail validation’ before presentation to larger publishing partners.
The program debuts with Lock & Chain and Perfect 10. Lock & Chain is a fast-paced area-control card game, while Perfect 10 is a card game that challenges players to build the ideal combinations of numbers.
“Our goal isn’t to compete with traditional publishers, but to support them,” said Scott Brady, Founder of A Game Studio.
“Publishers make difficult decisions years in advance, and that is simply the reality of today’s market. Proof-of-Play gives great games the opportunity to prove themselves through actual customer demand, giving publishers more confidence and less risk when considering a wider release.”
