Jo Proud – Creator of the Mood Bears – will share the story of the brand in a session at this year’s Play Creators Conference.
Jo’s session, titled ‘The Mood Bears Mission’, will delve into the origins and ethos of the brand, and its journey to finding a home with TOMY.
The Mood Bears brand promotes mental health positivity through a line-up of soft toy bears, each linked to a different emotion. TOMY acquired worldwide rights to the brand last year.
This year’s Play Creators Conference is taking place at London’s Stamford Bridge Stadium on Wednesday, June 26th.

More Recent Play Creators Festival
The session will see Reemsborko, Pophouse Entertainment, Two Daughters Entertainment, Licensing Link, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Pop Paper City detail opportunities around their brands to a room of toy and game companies and inventors.
The session will explore the considerations that come into play when creating for kidults – and whether it’s an area that inventors should be focusing on.
The panel will be chaired by Hasbro’s Naomi Brugnatelli and feature DesignbyTouch’s Paul Boucher, inventor Danielle Reynolds and The Op Games’ Tony Serebriany.

In the session, Ellie will share 20 different ways of generating new ideas.
