SAVANA acquires Gutter Games portfolio

French board game publisher and distributor SAVANA has acquired the Gutter Games asset portfolio from Razor Group.

The transaction brings games like Beat That!, Gutterhead and Trunk of Drunk under the SAVANA umbrella.

“Gutter Games built something genuinely special – irreverent, high-energy games that travel across cultures and languages,” said Romain Chemière de Carné, President and Founder of SAVANA.

“Our intention is clear: restore the brand to the prominence it deserves, develop extensions and new entries in the Gutter Games universe, and further strengthen a portfolio that is already one of the most dynamic in the global board game industry. This is our first M&A operation, and our first acquisition overseas – it demonstrates SAVANA’s capability to execute complex international transactions, and it opens a new chapter in how we grow the business.”

Gutter Games was founded in the UK by Kate and Zak Walton, and was acquired by Amazon-aggregator Perch in October 2021. It subsequently became part of Razor Group following Razor’s acquisition of Perch in 2024.
