McDonald’s UK launches CARDS promotion

McDonald’s UK is embracing the world of card-collecting with a new mean promotion.

Two years in the making, the CARDS meal promotion sees a range of McDonald’s meals come with a pack of collectible cards.

Every design has been hand illustrated from scratch and there are 24 cards in total across four categories: Character, Fan, Retro and Legendary Cards. Legendary cards, the rarest category, are holographic.

Every pack of cards includes one ‘Character Card’ that unlocks a free food item. Each is related to the character. For example Fry Girl gets you free Fries, while the Hamburglar gets you a free Hamburger, Cheeseburger or Mayo Chicken.

Fans can also register their sets of cards in the McDonald’s app and collect sets to win extra prizes, ranging from free meals and t-shirts to cash prizes.

There is also the ultra-rare Ronald Card – only 10 in existence – and each one wins the cardholder £10,000.
